BISP Post Office Payment System for Remote Village Areas
As you know, in the last post we shared that BISP is starting a new banking system to stop the agent mafia and ensure every beneficiary gets her full payment without any cuts. This is a big and much-needed step.
But a new question arises — what about the women living in areas without banks? What about poor mothers and widows who must travel hours just to reach a bank? They spend money on transport, wait in long lines, and sometimes even after all that, someone takes a part of their payment. Many times, they come back empty-handed, tired and hopeless.
That’s why BISP has started working on another method — one that is easier, safer, and closer to home. And this is not just a plan anymore — it has already started in some areas. A new BISP payment system through post offices is now being tested. This is called the pilot phase, and it’s running in selected districts. Once successful, it will be expanded all over Pakistan.
This is a major step to protect women from fraud, travel stress, and unfair deductions. It’s about giving them what they truly deserve — full payment, safely and with dignity. Now let’s understand this new system in the simplest and clearest way — how it works, where it started, and how it will help millions of poor women across Pakistan.
What is the BISP Post Office Payment System?
In June 2025, BISP started a pilot project with Pakistan Post. This project allows BISP women to collect their money directly from post offices instead of going to banks or agents.
Why is this system being introduced?
| Reason | Problem in Old System | Solution by Post Office |
|---|---|---|
| No banks in many rural areas | Women travel far to collect payments | Nearby post office setup |
| Agents cut payment | Many women get less than their full amount | No middleman involved |
| Long wait and transport cost | High travel cost and time loss | Saves time and money |
| Fraud and corruption | Fake thumb impressions, identity misuse | Biometric verification |
So, this is not just a payment method. It’s a revolution for poor women who deserve respect, safety, and easy access to their money.
Where Has BISP post office payment system Started?
Right now, this system has not started in the entire Pakistan. It’s under testing (pilot phase) in some selected districts.

My Final Words
This new system is not just a change in how money is given. It is a big step forward for the respect and dignity of poor women in Pakistan. For years, women living in remote villages have faced many problems while collecting their BISP payments. They had to travel far in hot weather, stand in long lines, pay for transport, and sometimes even lose part of their payment to agents. Many came home tired, upset, and without the full money they deserved.
But now, things are finally improving. With the launch of the BISP Post Office Payment System, women can collect their money on time, in full, and without dealing with any middlemen. They don’t have to go far anymore. Their local post office — just a few minutes from their home — is now the place where they receive their BISP money safely and easily.
