What is the Himmat Card?

Under this program, 100,000 persons with disabilities (PWDs) across Punjab will receive ATM cards to get financial assistance of Rs10,500 every 3 months.

“Imagine a person named Asad, living in Faisalabad, who cannot walk due to an accident. For years, he depended on others for every rupee. Now, with the Himmat Card, he can go to an ATM, withdraw his money, and spend it independently — with no middleman, no waiting, no humiliation.”

That’s why this card is called “Himmat”, meaning courage.

Why these Programs Was Launched – Maryam Nawaz’s Vision

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz strongly believes that every person deserves equal respect and equal opportunity, regardless of their physical ability.

Her government noticed that persons with disabilities often faced:

• Difficulty in accessing government aid

• Lack of special transport and accessibility

• Unemployment and poverty

• Dependence on family members for small tasks

To solve these issues, she decided to create a structured support system that would give both financial help and physical aid.

Thus, 2 programs were born together under the Department of Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab:

1. Himmat Card Program

2. Assistive Devices (Wheelchair) Program

These programs are connected — one gives financial courage, and the other gives physical support.

Women Quota:

• 30% of all cards are reserved for women — to encourage empowerment among differently-abled women in Punjab.

Himmat Card Phase 3 Has Officially Launched!

The journey of Himmat continues!
Under the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz, the third phase of the Himmat Card Program has now been launched.

In this new phase, 35,000 more persons with disabilities have been added — making the total number of beneficiaries reach 1 lakh across Punjab.
Each of them will now receive Rs10,500 every three months through their Himmat Card.

Maryam Nawaz has also announced that the program will soon expand to 2 lakh beneficiaries, so that no deserving person is left behind.

During the launch event, everyone felt proud seeing how the idea of Himmat is turning into reality.

Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Get the Himmat Card?

To make the system fair, only those who truly need it can apply. Here are the conditions in the simplest form:

• Must be registered as a Person with Disability (PWD) by the Social Welfare Department Punjab

• Must be declared “Not Fit to Work” by the medical board

• Must not have any job in a government or private office

• Must not have received any recent aid or grant from Bait-ul-Maal, Zakat Fund, PSPA, or BISP

• PMT score from BISP should be 45 or less

• Personal details like CNIC, address, mobile number, education, and experience must be updated in the DPMIS system

“If Ali from Multan has a leg disability and already has a disability certificate from a DHQ hospital, he can register online and get his card after verification.”

How to Apply for the Himmat Card

Applying for the Himmat Card is now very easy and can be done both online and in-person.

Option 1: Online Registration

1. Visit the official website:

2. Fill out the online form carefully.

3. Upload your required documents:

   • CNIC or B-Form

   • Disability Certificate

   • Passport-size photo

4. Submit the form and note your registration number.

5. Wait for verification and approval message.

Under this initiative, the government provides free wheelchairs, hearing aids, prosthetic limbs, and orthotic devices to those who need them.
