Your CNIC Is Your Sehat Card – Check Your Eligibility Today!

Now you don’t need to go anywhere or fill any form to know if you can get free treatment from the government. The Government of Punjab has made it super easy for you to check if your CNIC (ID card) is active for the Sehat Card. All you have to do is send one SMS from your mobile phone. That’s it!

What Is Sehat Card?

Sehat Card is not just a card. It is a full journey. It started as a small program in 2015, and now in 2025, it has become a big support system for poor and middle-class families in Punjab.

The journey started in 2015 when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif launched the National Health Program in KPK. The goal was to provide free treatment in private hospitals through insurance cards. People didn’t need to pay anything.

In 2017–2018, it came to Punjab under the PML-N government and was renamed Sehat Sahulat Program. It started in a few districts and offered up to Rs. 720,000 per year for hospital treatment.

In 2018, the PTI government expanded the program. In KPK, everyone got a card, even rich families. In Punjab, the plastic card was removed, and your CNIC became your Sehat Card.

In 2023, due to budget issues, the program slowed down. But in 2024, after Maryam Nawaz became Chief Minister Punjab, the program was restarted. Now in 2025, it is fully active again. Today, your CNIC is your health key.

Your CNIC Is Now Your Sehat Card

You don’t need a special card. Your CNIC is enough.

  • No forms
  • No extra registration
  • No need to visit any office

Just send one SMS from your mobile phone to check if you are eligible. If you are eligible, your CNIC will be used for free hospital treatment.
