If you have applied for the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” (AZAG) free 3 Marla plot scheme and recently received an SMS from 8070 that says:

اہم اطلاع: اپنی زمین اپنا گھر کے تحت درخواستوں کی ضلعی سطح پر جانچ پڑتال شروع ہو چکی ہے۔ مزید ہدایات کے لیے پورٹل وزٹ کریں۔

…and when you open the AZAG Web portal, you see a notice titled:

“Important Notice – AZAG Program: Documents Required for Scrutiny Committee”

Then this blog post is just for you. Read it till the end to understand what you need to do, what documents you must prepare, and how to submit them.

What Documents Needed for AZAG Program Scrutiny?

Here are the required documents in very simple language. We will explain each document one by one below in full detail:

1. CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)

You need to submit clear photocopies of your CNIC and your spouse’s CNIC (if you are married).

• The CNIC must not be expired.
• Both front and back sides should be photocopied.
• Do not submit original CNIC. Just a copy.

The government wants to make sure you are the real person who applied. Your ID proves your identity.

2. Domicile Certificate

This is a document that proves which district you live in.

• You must give the domicile of only the applicant (not your spouse).
• It must be issued by the same district where you applied for the AZAG scheme.

Why it is needed?

AZAG plots are being given district-wise. To give land to the right people, they check if you really live in that area.

What If You Don’t Have a Domicile?

If you don’t have your domicile certificate, don’t worry — but you must get it now.

• Go to your DC office or local board office or Khidmat Markaz in your district.

• It usually takes 3 to 5 days to make.

• It may look like a small thing, but it’s very important for your application.

• Without it, your application may be rejected.

3. Affidavits for AZAG Scheme

You need to submit 3 separate affidavits, each on Rs. 200 stamp paper. These are written promises signed by you. You can write them yourself or get help from a stamp vendor/lawyer.

You must declare:

1. Financial Integrity
   • That you are not very rich, and you truly need this plot.
   • You are not a taxpayer in a high-income slab.
2. Property Ownership
   • That you don’t own a house or plot anywhere in Pakistan.
   • You don’t own land in your name or in your spouse’s name.
3. Correctness of Information
   • That all the information you gave in the application form is true and correct.

Where to get Affidavits for AZAG Program?

• Buy stamp papers from local stamp paper seller.
• Download or Print the AZAG Affidavit (halfnama from above) or print it or get it from stamp paper seller as well.

4. Police Character Certificate for AZAG

You need to get a Police Character Certificate to prove you have no criminal record.

What Documents needed for Police Character Certificate?

If you want to get your Police Character Certificate for the AZAG program, don’t worry — the process is very easy. But remember, the documents you need depend on who is going to apply: You or someone else.

If you are going yourself:

Then only 2 things are needed:

• Your Original CNIC

• Your live photo will be taken there (no need to take passport-size photos)

• A small fee, usually between Rs. 330 to Rs. 500 (depends on the center)

That’s it! It’s very simple if you go yourself.

If someone else is going on your behalf:

Then they must take these documents with them:

• Your Original CNIC

• 2 passport-size photos (of you)

• Application form

• Fee: Around Rs. 300 to Rs. 500

This process also takes around 2 to 5 working days to complete.

5. Any Other Required Documents

Sometimes, the scrutiny committee of Apni Zameen Apna Ghar may call you or message you to bring more documents. These could be:

• Proof of income (salary slip – etc.)
• Family registration certificate (FRC)
• Nikah Nama (marriage certificate)
• Rent agreement (if living in a rented house)

So: Always keep your phone ON and check SMS or calls. If they contact you, respond quickly.

Where to Submit your Documents for Free 3 Marla Plot?

You have to submit all your required documents at your own district’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office or the nearest PHATA Field Office.

If you don’t know where the DC or PHATA office is in your area, simply ask someone nearby, check on Google Maps, or call the district office helpline to confirm the exact location.

Please make sure:

• You go within office timing (usually 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday)

• You carry all original documents and their photocopies

Remember, this is a government process, so always stay calm, respectful, and well-prepared when visiting the office.

Deadline Reminder for AZAG Scrutiny Documents

When the AZAG scheme (Apni Zameen Apna Ghar) was launched, the last date to apply was 16 July 2025.

At first, the government announced 26 July 2025 as the last date to submit documents. But now, they have extended the deadline.

So here’s the final update:

• Your local Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office, or

• PHATA Field Office in your district

Note:

This is only required in 19 selected districts. Not everyone needs to submit. You can see the list of districts here.

What Happens If You Don’t Submit the AZAG Documents?

If you don’t submit your documents within 30 days, the consequences can be serious:

• You may be marked ineligible for the 3 marla plot

• Your application may be rejected by the scrutiny committee

• You may not be considered in future government schemes

If you miss the deadline, you may lose your eligibility forever. So please treat this matter seriously. Do not take any risk.
